Savin Hill Farm is set on 11 acres of Savin Family owned property in the scenic Chehalem Mountain Wine Growers area of the Willamette Valley. Our boutique barn is located close in to Tigard, Portland, Sherwood, and Beaverton.
The barn is well designed and well ventilated for horse health. Four cross ties, one hot/cold wash rack, an outdoor wash rack, an insulated and heated tack room, an upstairs feed room, and an observation room over looking the indoor arena. There is also a full bath upstairs that is available for boarder and rider use. We have an alarm system installed that is connected to the house. If there is excessive heat or smoke detected in the barn, it will set the alarm off in the house and barn and will call the fire department.
Our 80x120 indoor arena is next to the barn. We have dressage mirrors and it is well lit. The observation room also provides an easy place to watch riding and relax. The indoor arena features Equiloft footing, giving both grip and concussion support to our horses.
Our 80x160 outdoor arena boasts all weather footing and stunning views of four mountains; Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St Helens, and Mt. Rainier. We would like to acknowledge the excellent work Mark Rowley of Efficient Arena has done on our footing. Both arenas have the Equiloft footing giving both grip and concussion support to our horses.
There is ample turnout at SHF. We have a few dry lot paddocks and several grass paddocks. Horses are turned out in pairs or single and turnout is daily. We turnout rain, snow, or shine, but will keep the horses in if the weather is dangerous.
